Pediatrics has long been recognized as a specialized subject in oriental medicine. With my young patients, as well as my older patients, I find it is very important to look for the cause of the symptoms as well as the symptoms themselves. This means I will be asking all sorts of questions about the history of your child’s problem on your first visit. After coming to a diagnosis, I will discuss a suggested treatment plan with you. Treatments often incorporate acupressure and " tui na" (a form of therapeutic pediatric massage), We often discuss diet and the possible use of herbs, homeopathics and supplements. After their visit many young clients feel like they have just come from a "play session" rather than a "treatment."
